Our backgrounds may vary, but our mission is the same; we work together every day because we're passionate about serving the military community and ensuring that OurMilitary.com is the trusted resource for military families.
These are the people who make Valor run:
I’ve spent the last 20 years in digital media and technology, and no experience was driven by a greater sense of purpose than Valor. Partly because it’s personal- my father served, and his father received a silver star and bronze star. We’re building a company that does well by doing good, supporting the military families who sacrifice so much to ensure our freedom.
Head of Marketing & Communications
As someone who has worked in the Communications field her entire career, I have never taken for granted our Country's first amendment right to freedom of speech. This is an ideal that I recognize military men and women fight for on our behalf every single day and being a part of a company that supports this community is important to me.
Vice President - Sales
Having been in the advertising world for the last 23 years I have seen the dramatic growth in digital media and know it is here to stay. Living in Pierce County for the last 23 years amongst the military community it gives me great pride to be working for such a great company that truly cares and it's mission to give back to those you have served our country past and present.
I've spent twenty years helping the Fortune 100 advertisers communicate with consumers to best benefit themselves. I am energized at Valor because I not only get to help marketers achieve their goals but also demonstrate how a portion of their marketing dollars also benefit Veterans in a meaningful and tangible way.
Having my wife, son and daughter in the military and working with Generals, Colonels and bomber pilots for over 14 years, I came to respect and appreciate what our warriors do for us - Putting themselves in harms way without even thinking of what might happen is truly the definition of VALOR. When I was given the opportunity to work with a company with a mission statement that incorporates our men and women of the military, I knew that I had been brought to where I needed to be.
As a military spouse myself I see how trying this lifestyle can be. Valor has identified the gaps in resources that are available active duty members, veterans, retirees and their families and filled that gap with an easy to use website full of hard to find information available at the palm of your hand. Working for a company that understands the struggles of military life and goes above and beyond everyday to make our lives easier is truly a blessing.
I’m a painter, shopaholic, mermaid enthusiast, and adventure lover - which is part of why embarking on this new journey at Valor is so exciting for me! Being from a family of Marines and Sailors, and having worked with veterans before as a caregiver, giving back to our military families is something I hold close to heart. It’s rewarding to know that I spend each day building connections between service members and their local businesses, and creating a stronger, more prosperous community in turn.
It's important to me to work for a company that puts its social impact at the core of its mission and every day function. That's why I work to make our messaging reach as many people as it can and connect them to the resources that can positively impact their lives.
Lead Reporter & Content Creator
As a writer, I am able to express people’s unique stories and visions through an art form that I love. I’m also the proud son of a Retired U.S. Navy CPO, and I’m excited to be providing authentic content and resources to the military community
As a born and raised child of the Army, with family members currently Active Duty, I feel a strong sense of duty to help where I can. Valor gives me the opportunity to serve the military community in a unique way that identifies the needs of the community and then goes to leaps and bounds to fill the gaps.
ViiV Program Director
I am grateful to be part of a company that is committed to making a positive social impact on the military community it serves. As program director of Valor’s social impact program, I am committed to finding the best possible opportunities for Valor to make a difference in the lives of veterans.
I talk computers into to doing things for us. I come from a military family and putting my strengths to work here is one of the best ways I can honor their service.
Devoted husband, doting father and founding member of the Valor Dynamic Dev Duo, I'm probably currently hunched over my keyboard muttering cryptic complaints of misaligned borders and off-by-one errors. I enjoy tackling all tech problems, complex and mundane.
